What is a CoolSaver A/C Tune-up?
The CenterPoint Energy CoolSaver A/C Tune-up program allows customers to have their Central HVAC or Heat Pump system thoroughly assessed and tuned up by a certified technician. The service includes the technician taking readings to assess and correct system efficiency, cleaning components (blower assembly, evaporator and condenser coils), refrigerant charge assessment, and verifying air flow at absolutely no cost to you. The technician can replace the air filter if the customer provides one, and can top off refrigerant at an additional expense, if the customer agrees to it.
Routine A/C tune-ups allow your unit to perform at its best — increasing the efficiency of your system, lowering your energy bills, and keeping your space comfortable.
This service is free to all CenterPoint Energy electric customers who have central A/C that is more than one year old and have not had a CoolSaver tune-up completed within the last 5 years.
